Southfield, MI – January 21, 2026 — One year in, Vision of Justice has already helped 10 uninsured Michiganders go from legally blind to seeing again—at no cost. Founded by Attorney Jason Waechter and powered by a standout partnership with one of Michigan's leading eye surgeons, the nonprofit is proving that a “simple” procedure can be life-changing when someone finally has access to it. The milestone is just the beginning, and the need is far larger than most people realize—especially across Metro Detroit and beyond. Grade school friends start nonprofit to provide free cataract surgeries

Vision of Justice, a non-profit corporation pending 501(c)(3) status, was launched by Attorney Jason Waechter in response to the urgent need in Metro Detroit and across the state of Michigan.
